When my husband Ray and I decided it was time to add a dog to our family we did some some research to find the best breed for our home and family life. Due to the allergies we have in our family, we focused on breeds that are considered “non-allergenic” and took a look at some of the possibilities. Finally, we decided on the Airedale Terrier because of its personality, spirit and beauty. While growing up, we had a Smooth Haired Fox named Charlie in my family home and I loved his spunky personality. We finally purchased our first Airedale Abby as my Mother's Day gift back in 2000, and life has never been quite the same. We now have two beautiful Airedales in our home, so you can imagine the antics! I joined the club because I wanted to learn more about breeding, conformation showing and also to join in the camaraderie associated with the breed. In my role as Secretary and Treasurer, I look forward to working on the executive and contributing to a club comprised of members who love their Airedale Terriers!
