Annual Awards, Trophies and Recognition of Merit
Airedale Bowl
This trophy is awarded to the top non-Canadian bred Airedale who has accumulated the most points in a calendar year (according to CKC records). The Bowl was donated by the ATCC and was first awarded in 1990 for the 1989 top Airedale.
Bonaventure Obedience Trophy
This trophy is awarded for the highest total points accumulated in a calendar year by an owner-handled Airedale. It was donated by Jay and Kathy Whittington of the Bonaventure Kennel in 1977. This trophy was retired temporarily in 1981 and reinstated in 1991.
Navajo Tray
This trophy is awarded each year to the ATCC member owning a Canadian born Airedale who has accumulated the most points in a calendar year (according to the CKC records). The Tray was donated by Robert Duguid of the Navajo Kennel in 1972.
Register of Merit (ROM)
The Register of Merit (ROM) recognizes Airedale Terriers who have contributed to the advancement of the breed in Canada, through their demonstrated ability to conform to the breed standard, producing quality offspring and/or represent the breed in performance tests. National Specialty Awards and Trophies
Note: Perpetual Trophies will be awarded at the Annual Specialty of the ATCC and will remain in the possession of the Trophy Chair and will not leave his/her possession without written direction from the Executive of the ATCC. Suitable Keeper Awards will be presented to the winners of the respective Perpetual Trophies.
Best of Breed Trophy
This trophy was donated by the members of the ATCC in 1971 and was redesigned in 1990 by the Trophy Chairperson, Ron Ditner. The inscriptions were also re-organized.
Best of Opposite Sex
The Clare Halford Trophy was donated by the ATCC members in 1979 in honour of Clare Halford of the Siccawei Kennels, England.
Best of Winners
The Fairewood Trophy was donated by Lotus and Brian Tutton of the Fairewood Kennel in 1994.
Best Canadian Bred Dog
The Henk Bennink-Deanridge Trophy donated in honour of Henk Bennink by Ellie and John Voortman in 2005.
Best Canadian Bred Bitch
The Holmlea Trophy is awarded to Winners Bitch as long as she is Canadian bred. The trophy was donated by Mr. and Mrs. Galloway of the Holmlea Kennel in 1972.
Best Puppy
The Mayfield Trophy was donated by Elma Lewis Watts of the Mayfield Kennel in 1979.
Winners Dog
The Hobkirk Trophy was donated by Ron Hobkirk in 1974.
Bred by Exhibitor Dog
The Kingaire Trophy was donated by Esther and Dave O'Connor of the Kingaire Kennel in 1992.
Winners Bitch
The Tairecote Trophy was donated by Ron Ditner of the Tairecote Kennel in 1979. The statue was cast specifically for the 100th anniversary of the National Airedale Terrier Association (NATA) of England.
Bred by Exhibitor Bitch
The Premiaire Trophy was donated by Roy and Wendy Aitchison of the Premiaire Kennel in 1992.
High in Trial
The Valdonaire Obedience Trophy was donated by Valerie Adkinson of the Valdonaire Kennel in 1995. It is to be awarded for the dog with the highest qualifying score.

This trophy was presented in honour of Kenneth and Margaret MacLaren, Montford Kennels.
Best of Winners
This trophy was presented by Helen Arnold, Winsea Kennel.
Winners Dog
This trophy was presented by Saulis and Elaine Zemaitis, Skyecroft Airedales.
Winners Bitch
This trophy was presented by John and Lory Ross, Tanyetta Kennel.
Best Canadian Bred
This trophy was presented by Margaret A. Saltzmann, Hugadale Reg'd.
Best Bred By Exhibitor
This trophy was presented by Ken Curren and Lee Steeves, Regalridge Kennel.
Best Puppy
This trophy was presented by Doris Holtz of Three Oaks Kennel in memory of John Holtz.
